"Don't move," Lightning says warningly, demons waiting with baited breath just beyond the edge of the stage.

Hope's breath is shallow – sharp – as he straightens and obeys. They have done this before and he knows this cruel, cold sadist standing before him isn't real, isn't his Lightning, but he still wonders if she is losing herself in this role they play. He wonders if he is too.

The small blade Lightning pulls out glints and she steps forward. His palms are clammy. He knows she will drag it across his skin. He knows he can trust her, but doubts plague him. This is Lightning, right? She won't lose control, right? She's strong enough, right?

Pain becomees pleasure whe she makes needle thin scratches on his chest. A gasp escapes his mouth, lips parted. He likes it and it scares him becuase it's about to get a lot worse.

Yeah... I love Hope. This Hope in particular. I like the Hope we're playing with right now though too.

It occurs to me that I write too much Balthier/Fran and Hope/Light... oh well! XD

God, the Lightning right now went from happy to totally depressed in the span of five minutes. She takes not being able to help people so personally. So personally, and all those serial killers have really affected her, and the last one WAS SO FUCKED UP. There where nails and hammers and bones involved, and she has the words YOU CAN HAVE HER BACK NOW, CAVALRY carved on her back. It's sick, sick, sick. She hasn't really slept since then.

THERE IS NEVER TOO MUCH BALTHIER/FRAN OR HOPE/LIGHT IN THE WORLD.

Wow... really? It's got to be faded by now, but I get it. I see why she basically told school to go fuck itself. After all she'd been through... learning how to slack off is not what she needs. (Wow I have so much faith in Public High Schools.)

Hope... Hope is so fucked up. He kinda wants to pet his new cat forever. Hope throws himself in front of a bullet for Sazh later, after Hope decides to like Sazh more because he is nice.

I don't think she believes the killer is dead. She's so screwed up, afraid of society and the monsters it creates. She kinda just wants to give up, let go.

Sazh, once he figures out Hope is a real boy, kinda just wants to raise Hope as his son, ♥

That's sad. Well... Snow is going to kidnap her back down to Pulse, so all is good.

She has more than a little PTSD going on. Doesn't help that she's an insomniac and that they've pulled her back into active duty in Nautilus where there's a lot of people.

Er--this is all from some AU ideas we've been throwing around where Lightning hunts down serial killers, Snow is from Pulse, Vanille is a street rat, Fang is part of a troupe of performers in Nautilus, Sazh is an assassin, and Hope is his lackey who he thinks is a robot.

Once he figures out that Hope is a person though, he decides he's going to raise Hope instead of use him as a tool to help him kill people. (Right now he's trying to kill Snow, XD)
